Egg Harbor Township Police Activities League Hosts Free STEM Expo Celebrating New Jersey STEM Month March 22, 2025

Egg Harbor Township, NJ – [January 8, 2025] – The Egg Harbor Township Police Activities League (PAL) is proud to announce its upcoming Free STEM Expo, celebrating NJ STEM Month. The event will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the EHT PAL (2542 Ridge Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234). This exciting and educational event is designed to inspire students, parents, and community members to explore the fascinating world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

The STEM Expo will feature interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and engaging demonstrations from PAL teams (First Tech Challenge, Seaperch, R.O.A.D.S., KidWind) and clubs (Garage, Media, Stargazers, Engineering) plus a wide range of local organizations, schools, and professionals. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in robotics, technology, engineering, and more, all while having fun in a supportive, family-friendly environment.

"We are thrilled to host this event in celebration of NJ STEM Month," said Egg Harbor Township PAL Executive Director, Hector Tavarez. "STEM education is a key area of focus for the PAL, as we are dedicated to providing youth with opportunities to explore, grow, and pursue their passions in these important fields. This Expo is a perfect way for families to discover new ways to get involved in STEM education, both locally and beyond."

What to Expect:

Hands-On STEM Activities for children of all ages
Live Demos of cutting-edge technology and robotics
Meet & Greet with STEM professionals
Interactive Learning Stations showcasing engineering, coding, and environmental science
New this year: Design a lunar habitat or lunar rover challenge.  Youth can create and enter their design challenge for a chance to win a prize.  The event is free and open to the public, and there will be opportunities for attendees to register for STEM programs and workshops offered by PAL.

“We believe in making STEM education accessible to all, and our PAL staff, mentors and volunteers are excited to engage with local youth and families to help spark their curiosity and creativity," added Michelle Riordan, PAL STEM Director. “Our hope is that this Expo will encourage a love for STEM and open doors to future careers in these fields.”
