Small Business Workshop - February 2020
The Greater Atlantic City Chamber, New Jersey Economic Development Authority, and Stockton Small Business Development Center (NJSBDC) will host a small business development workshop on Thursday, February 20 at Fannie Lou Hamer Event Room in Stockton University Atlantic City Academic Center from noon to 2 PM. The collection of speakers and organizations will provide guidance on how to register your business with the state, financial resources, and best practices for small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Atlantic City area.
“Between marketing their products and services, managing employees, maintaining their spaces, and keeping their books in order, small business owners have a lot on their plates and work incredibly hard. That can make it challenging to find time to learn about the many resources that are available to help grow their businesses,” said NJEDA Director of Small Business Services Christina Fuentes. “We are excited to meet businesspeople where they are and organize our resource partners so they can highlight their products and services.”
The February workshop featured speakers and resources from the following:
- US Small Business Administration (SBA)
- NJ Small Business Development Center (NJSBDC)
- UCEDC
- Cooperative Business Assistance Corporation (CBAC)
- New Jersey Community Capital (NJCC)
- Greater Newark Enterprise Corporation (GNEC)
- Regional Business Assistance Corporation (RBAC) Excelsior Growth Fund (EFG)
- Latin American Economic Development Association (LAEDA)
- NJ Business Action Center
- NJ Department of Treasury, NJ Division of Taxation
- SCORE
- New Jersey Board of Public Utilities
- NJLIBsGrowBIZ
- Women's Business Center
“Our mission is to create a favorable economic climate with meaningful services for the business community. Collaborating with the NJEDA, NJSBDC, and several additional organizations is one way we help connect the business community with diverse resources that help them grow,” Michael Chait, President of the Greater Atlantic City Chamber.
