David Garrick Umphlett, (grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Perfect), and oldest son of Jerry and Marianne (Perfect) Umphlett became involved in the funeral industry while working with his family's business, Umphlett Funeral Home of Newport News, VA. Under the Direction of his father he became a licensed Virginia funeral director in 1992 and continued working with his father and later became manager of the business. In December of the year 2000, David and his family moved to New Jersey where he attained his New Jersey and Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Licenses and began working for his grandfather, Francis Perfect and is now the manager of the funeral home. David married Amber M. Sargeant in May of 1992 and they have three children, Abigail Renee, Adeline Marie and Allison Marianne. They are residents of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.
