Pleasantville, NJ (June 9, 2015) - The City of Pleasantville announces the kick off of the Bayview Summer Series, beginning with the Sunset Wine Tasting on Saturday, June 20th from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event will take place at Lakes Bay Marina, located on Bayview Ave. in Pleasantville. Offering breathtaking sunsets and skyline views, the event will benefit the Ralph Peterson Education Foundation Scholarship. (Rain date, Sunday, June 21st.)
“The Bayview Summer Series is a collection of unique events taking place in the Lakes Bay section of Pleasantville for the entire community, our neighbors and visitors to enjoy,” said Mayor Jesse L. Tweedle, Sr. “The Sunset Wine Tasting launches what will be an exciting summer for the City of Pleasantville.”This upscale party features fine wine selections, served with light bites by Mo's All Occasion Catering and music by the Eddie Morgan Jazz Trio.
Patrons can enjoy samples from participating wine vendors including DiMatteo Vineyards, Monroeville Vineyard and Winery, Salem Oak Vineyards and Vermeil Wines, as well as select product tastings from Atlantic City Bottle Company and Joe Canal's Discount Liquor Outlet who have partnered with Harrison Beverage. Full bottles will also be available for purchase during the event.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door on the day of event and includes a complimentary Bayview Summer Series Wine Tasting glass for every guest to take home after the event. Guests must be 21 or older to attend the event. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at BayviewSummerSeries.com or at Pleasantville City Hall.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in white to welcome the summer and reflect the beauty of the waterfront surroundings at sunset. Boat owners are invited to use the Lakes Bay Marina for docking during the event.
The Sunset Wine Tasting event is sponsored by Atlantic Associates Insurance Agency Inc., Milan & Main at City Center, Rutala Associates and Performance Marketing.
The Bayview Summer Series includes the return of the Pleasantville Farmers' Market, back for a second summer at the former site of Pleasantville High School at Ansley and South Franklin Boulevard, beginning Wednesday, June 24 and every week from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. featuring Jersey Fresh produce and a variety of food products from local vendors.Additional events planned are the Mayor’s BBQ Cook-Off, being held on July 18th, from noon until 10 p.m. (rain or shine) and The Endless Summer Carnival will be held on Saturday. August 22nd from noon until 11 p.m. Bring the whole family and take advantage of a $5 wrist band offer that lets you ride the rides all day. Rain date: August 23rd.
