Resorts Casino Hotel hosts Atlantic City’s Pioneering 40 Year History with Steven Perskie and moderated by Michael Pollock on Tuesday, July 24th at 4:30pm in the Ocean Ballroom. Join Perskie and Pollock for a “One on One” evening discussing Atlantic City Gaming Past, Present and Beyond organized by Congregation Shirat Hayam. Lloyd D. Levenson of Cooper Levenson and the Institute of Gaming, Hospitality & Tourism at Stockton University begins the night introducing the guest honorees.

Steven Perskie is a former commissioner of the Casino Control Commission. Notably responsible for drafting the New Jersey Casino Control Act and was primary advocate and sponsor for the introduction of legalized casino gaming in Atlantic City. At the age 26, Perskie was elected to the New Jersey General Assembly in 1971 and re – elected in 1973 and 1975. Then Perskie resumed practicing law after leaving the commission.
Michael Pollock, moderating the discussion, is Managing Director and co – founder of Spectrum Gaming Group. From 1991 to 1996, Pollock was the spokesman for the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, maintaining public confidence in the integrity of the regulatory system. After publishing his book, Hostage to Fortune: Atlantic City and Casino Gambling, he has led Spectrum economic analyses to markets all across the United States.
