Keyboarding Clerk 1

The Keyboarding Clerk I in the Warrants Unit of the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of the unit. This position involves a variety of clerical tasks, including data entry, record keeping, and assisting with the processing of warrants.
Key Responsibilities
• Data Entry: Accurately input and update information related to warrants in the department's database.
• Record Keeping: Maintain and organize records, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and are easily accessible.
• Document Preparation: Prepare and process documents related to warrants, including printing, copying, and distributing paperwork as needed.
• Communication: Assist in answering phone calls and responding to inquiries from the public and other law enforcement agencies regarding warrant information.
• Compliance: Ensure all procedures and processes comply with departmental policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous clerical or administrative experience preferred, especially within a law enforcement or legal setting.
• Skills: Proficient in keyboarding and data entry with a high degree of accuracy. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must pass a background check
