The 70 member South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble will present a unique musical experience, Timeless Impressions: Musical Footprints in the Sands of Time, at the beautiful Atlantic County Institute of Technology Performing Arts Center on Monday, April 24th at 7:00 PM. Music will include the exciting Lawrence of Arabia, which will feature dance teachers from the Cygnus Dance Company, marches, and Mambo from West Side Story. Dr. Scott Watson, an internationally known composer, will conduct several of his works, one of which, Aesop’s Fables, will be narrated by the SJAWE musical director, Keith W. Hodgson. The audience will enjoy music, visual effects, and will participate in the encores. Selected honors high school and college students from 15 schools will perform in the second half of the concert. Frank Kollman, Esq. will be Master of Ceremonies and will present a $1,000 scholarship donated by the Alice Frankel Trust to a participating student. Ron Poorman, Associate Conductor, and Jennifer Hodgson, Assistant Conductor will also direct the SJAWE.
